|MEGRAME® COLOURED UPVC WINDOWS - ACRYLCOLOR TECHNOLOGY
MEGRAME® coloured uPVC windows are made with unique ACRYLCOLOR technology that not only allows you to implement a variety of design projects, but also provides lasting, durable window surface and color.
Colored ACRYLCOLOR uPVC window profiles are produced by a unique co-extrusion technique. During co-extrusion, the white PVC substructure and the coloured acrylic glass are permanently fused with one another and this way very smooth, non-porous windows and doors surface is obtained. Fusing both of these materials makes window colours resistant to time - they do not fade, layer, peel or crack.
Extremely weather resistant
The outer acrylic layer is twice as strong and more resistant as uPVC - coloured windows are more resistant to climate change and direct sunlight. Windows featuring ACRYLCOLOR profiles are therefore robust, even under extreme climate conditions.
The hard acrylic surface is scratch-resistant. Acrylic windows are therefore counted amongst the most resistant of construction elements. Measuring around 0.5 mm, the acrylic layer is thicker than any layer of varnish. If scratches ever appear on the surface, it can easily be polished.
Cosmetic repairs possible
If scratches ever appear on the surface, it can easily be removed by polishing, using a Scotch Bright pad.
Spalling or chipping of the coloured layer is permanently avoided due to the inseparable bond and hard surface.
The non-porous surface makes acrylic coloured windows easy to clean. The elegant brushed effect also makes them insensitive to dirt.
* Please note that the accuracy of the shades displayed on your computer, phone or tablet screen depends on its specifications and therefore the colours on the screen and in reality may differ. We recommend checking the selected window and door colours in the physical colour palette at the MEGRAME headquarters or at any of our dealerships.
