MEGRAME®is aware of the need to limit our impact on the environment therefore contribute to a green culture. In 2006 MEGRAME® was the first company in Lithuania that started using clean uPVC windows and doors with lead-free stabilizers – “GREEN LINE”. These uPVC windows and doors are more durable, stable, resistant to external impact, longer sustains its colour. Used uPVC stabilizer is non-toxic and does not affect human health or the environment.
Recycled lead-free uPVC profiles can be used for manufacture of new uPVC items - toys, packaging and medical supplies. We are delighted to offer environment friendly and high quality products with additional functionality.
Responsible materials sourcing. Manufacturer is committed to the use of raw materials from sustainable sources, maximizing the use of recycled materials, and minimizing the use of energy from non-renewable sources.
Recycling. In our factories we have a waste sorting policy. Spare and broken glass is reprocessed. Recycled lead-free uPVC profiles can be used for manufacture of new uPVC items.
Carbon emissions. Argon filled energy efficient glass units maximize thermal gain, reduce thermal loss and reflect heat back into the room in the winter time in order to drastically reduce the need for heating and therefore the release of CO2. In summer MEGRAME® windows and doors can be designed to reduce solar gain and increase natural ventilation, thus reducing the need for air conditioning.
